Havas Media channel investments EVP Melissa Keller<\/a> says her agency has gone from “seeding” experiments with clients last year, to implementing full-on “roadmaps” this year,\u00a0in an interview with Beet.TV about the future of TV advertising.<\/p>\n

And\u00a0multi-platform advertising sales software firm <\/a><\/span>Invision\u2019s CEO Steve Marshall agrees:\u00a0<\/span>Two years ago, we were reaching out to our customers \u2026 (their reaction)\u00a0was, ‘Run to the hills, get away from this as fast as I can’.\u00a0Tn the last six months \u2026 that\u2019s changed quite a bit. They\u2019ve said they have to invest. everyone is taking it seriously.”<\/p>\n

“Programmatic” techniques have shaken up the online display ad sales market. Now it has arrived in online video.\u00a0Mainstream TV roll-out is harder still, but many think specific implementations will happen eventually, albeit not quite in the same guise as online programmatic.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s not going to be for a while,” Keller says. “What we push is, it\u2019s going to be data-informed television. If there is an ability for television to move from demography\u00a0 to audience buying, we need to dive in.”<\/p>\n

Marshall thinks cable operators will begin better leveraging the customer data they own\u00a0through their set-top boxes to offer better targeting capabilities. They were interviewed by\u00a0Dan Ackerman, Senior VP of ONE by AOL<\/a>.<\/p>\n
